


CHENNAI — In a major step toward the upcoming Malankara Catholic Association (MCA) Sabhathala Half-Yearly Assembly, MCA Sabhathala President Mr. Byju S. R. visited the Padi St. Thomas Church today to review and streamline the preparatory arrangements. The highly anticipated half-yearly assembly is scheduled to be held in Chennai on September 17th and 18th, 2026. This year’s assembly holds special significance as it will run alongside the Reunion Day celebrations, which are being hosted by the Eparchy of St. Ephrem, Khadki-Pune. The meeting focused on planning the logistics, scheduling, and venue arrangements to ensure the grand event runs smoothly. Joining the president in overseeing the preparations was MCA Sabhathala Vice-President Mrs. Kunjumol Sam. The preparatory session witnessed an enthusiastic turnout, drawing a large number of dedicated MCA members determined to make the event a success. Crucial guidance and support were provided by the Reverend Fathers and Sisters of the Chennai Ecclesiastical District, who were present to lend their spiritual and organizational backing to the committee. With the dates locked in and the local committees fully engaged, momentum is rapidly building in Chennai for what promises to be a landmark gathering for the MCA.
