Organizational Structure

 

The Malankara Catholic Association (MCA) functions through a well-defined structure that ensures coordination from the grassroots level to the global level, under the guidance of the Church hierarchy.


 1. Parish Level (Unit Level)

  • The basic and most active unit of MCA
  • Formed in each parish/church
  • Led by:
    • President
    • Vice President
    • Secretary
    • Joint Secretary
    • Treasurer
    • Executive Committee Members
  • Organizes local spiritual, social, and charitable activities

 2. Diocesan Level

  • Coordinates all parish units within a diocese
  • Works under the guidance of the Diocesan Bishop / Director
  • Responsibilities:
    • Planning diocesan programs
    • Supporting parish units
    • Conducting meetings, conventions, and training programs

 3. Regional Level (Where Applicable)

  • Groups multiple dioceses into a region (especially outside India)
  • Ensures coordination between dioceses in a particular area
  • Organizes regional events and initiatives

 4. National Level

  • Represents MCA at the country level
  • Coordinates activities across all dioceses within the nation
  • Key roles:
    • National President and Office Bearers
    • National Executive Committee
  • Conducts national conferences, leadership programs, and major initiatives

 5. Global / International Level

  • Connects MCA units worldwide
  • Strengthens unity among Malankara Catholics globally
  • Organizes international conventions and supports global mission activities

 Spiritual Guidance

At every level, MCA functions under:

  • The guidance of the clergy (Parish Priest / Bishop / Church Authorities)
  • Ensuring all activities align with the teachings and mission of the Church
